Surge Guard Monitor

Power cord comes in under the bathroom sink, wraps around/under the shower, and ends up under closet just inside the door. Made for an easy removal of the closet "floor", and allowed me to mount the unit directly behind the fuse panel/invertor:



Easy running of the monitor wire, since I put the monitor under the closet door, directly above the fuse panel. I can hook up, and just look inside the door to see if everything is operating normal. The display is easily seen from most spots in the trailer (small trailer) but the blinking display is blocked by the dinette when we are in bed.

The marks (easily seen in this close up) were already there before the install. Another reason why I choose that location---tried to hide them.

I mounted my Progressive Industries monitor on the side of the TV. When I mant to check on things it is right there, otherwise I don't even notice it. :)

I mounted my Progressive monitor right in front of the door so that after hooking up I can see the voltage, HZ, amps and if there are any error codes immediately.

That's funny, I wanted it facing the living room, easy to see. Couldn't work it out though. It instead faces the stairs to the bedroom. Guess I am glad it worked out the way it did. I see how it could be annoying as you describe it.

you can add a DUEL display (VAC & AC AMP) meter for 10 bucks each (off of eBay).
If you have a 50A coach you'll want TWO meters, one for each leg.

I got the Progressive Dynamics surge suppressor that came with a remote display. I had planned to mount it in a readily-accessible location until I turned it on. The thing literally flashes the voltage, current, frequency, and status every second or so. And there is no way to turn the display off. That's not how I want to spend my nights while camping.

Strange - I can never get all the displays to read clearly in pics but they look good in person.

so anytime you wanna see whats going on you have to open the closet and look ?
