Timken Bearings

Just an FYI... I know this has been discussed at great length already, but ....

I needed an extra set of bearings # 02475 and #25580.. went on Amazon and got 1 of each.. BOTH are stamped made in the USA..

The outside of the 25580 box NOW says:
Made in the USA W/US and imported content

The 02475 box says USA..

OK, that's my public Service Announcement for the day ! :B
  • yep they have plants over there, but there made to high specks. I,d still use them.and have on my big boat no problem.
  • FWIW, my 98 FR 5er had Czech brgs. They were dull gray and no problems, with grease. My 07 SB has China brgs. They are lighter gray and had grease til 13 and oil since then. As long as they are smooth, I run them. Craig
  • Yes, Timken USA. I've notice if buy from the Amazon Beast the info online says China is a country of Mfg. But no, all the Timkens I've purchased are made in USA. Timken Seals are a different story though.....made in Mexico or Taiwan. But having said that if you put the Timken seal against a "pedestrian seal" from the box store you can really see the difference in quality.
