toilet handle as screen door opener

Hi all, a few years back someone came up with an idea to use a house toilet metal flush handle to open their screen door since the screen door opener lever was on the outside of the screen door when closed.
Any help with finding the post would be greatly appreciated.

For what we pay for these RV's you'd THINK they would make an opener that allowed you to open the door without sliding the panel standard equipment. :R

The people who owned my camper prior to me simpily tied a piece of string to the handle. They drilled a hole in the sliding handle cover and fed it through there with a small charm to weigh the string end down. To open the door all you do is pull the string and it pulls the lever down to open the door.Simple and effective.

The problem with anything like the Camco or my toilet lever mod is that people expect to push it down instead of lifting it up. A friend destroyed mine recently because she tried to push it down.
DTR's is um, idiot proof (so to speak).

We had the Camco unit and really did not like it.....it turned/twisted sideways and would not open the door all the time!

Camco has had an rv screen door opener for years, a lot nicer than a toilet handle too! :B

Here is another easy mod to accomplish the same thing..Use a piece of wire - even a coat hanger and bend to fit. Drill a hole in the handle and one in the top of the slider.
