Just bought our first TT, a Coachmen 242RBS. Has a Jensen 1909 flat panel TV on a fixed mounting bracket. Would like to mount on a swivel bracket to provide viewing from more angles. Any suggestions as to specific bracket? I know I'll have to bungee when traveling so I doesn't move.

I guess to me the quick release travel catch was a required option. I pull the tv out pretty much every night and re-store it again for travel. If I had to play around with a bungee every time I think it'd drive me nuts but maybe I'm just picky.

Of course this may not be an issue for you depending on your needs, just something to consider.

Last week, I searched for articulated mounts, wanting one for the S&B. I decided I liked this one for the cable management feature and the ability to mount all but the largest of TVs, should I decide on a larger TV in the future. The box arrived, and it's a heavy mount. All steal and plastic, no aluminum. It does not have quick disconnect, but I love the cable management system. Price-wise, Amazon just about equals Monoprice. I purchased a mount from Monoprice about 9 months ago for our camper and I'm very pleased with it, too. It does not have a quick dismount, either. That unit is no longer available from Monoprice. To secure the 24" TV while travelling, I use about a 3' piece of double-sided Velcro, wrapping the Velcro vertically around the TV and capturing the articulating arms of the mount. The Velcro overlaps itself by a good 6" and stays put. Over at least 5,000 miles in our truck camper, I haven't had any issues with the TV moving. The soft side of the double-sided Velcro is fairly gentle on the TV. It has not scratched the screen. It takes me about 15 seconds to loop the Velcro over the TV and around the mount's arms while avoiding cables.

I have had good luck mounting a FLAT BACK BOARD to my trailer thin walls using MOLLY BOLTS in the four corners. Much like what was posted above.

I would be afraid not using a back board would allow the mounting screws to be pulled through the thin trailer walls... Finding the wall studs is great but not always possible. The MOLLY BOLTS spreads out behind the thin walls when installed to prevent being pulled through.

The added back board allows you to then mount the swivel design swing brackets using wood type screws you find in the TV SECTION of WALMART. Look for one that allows a quick disconnect or easy way to remove the HDTV when taking down. The bracket I found has the top rolls of slots where you can insert the screws in the back of the HDTV and slip into these slots taking the weight of the TV until you add the bottom roll of screws.. Once the bottom roll of screws are in place then you can tighten all the screws. Makes mounting the HDTV much easier for me using a two-inch short Phillips screwdriver....

The back board spreads out the weight distribution...

X2 on Monoprice.com. Their prices can't be beat and very good quality. I buy all my cables from them and have bought a swivel TV mount, too. It worked great in our previous 5vr. Kept safe while moving with quick release straps secured to studs.

ALWAYS shop monoprice.com for cables and TV mounts. They give the stuff away compared to other retailers. Really it's good stuff at a fraction of the price.

they cost more, but I used a mount by more-ryde. It has a nice travel catch and is heavy duty.

We have done that a # of times (since flat screens came out). Any swivel that's sold at Best Buy or even Walmart will work. We don't use bungies....they may allow too much wobble. DH uses those quick release straps. ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚ And be sure to screw in the bracket in a "stud". ๐Ÿ™‚ Never had one fail us yet!!!!
