What kind of terminals?
New to this....I,ve read that the wire size is very important in DC apps. How would I go about connecting atleast #4 wire from this controler to the battery bank? The holes are so small '>'>

Why do you want the bigger wire? If you are putting the big wire so later you can upgrade to a larger capacity controller later then do as described and step down in wire size for now. If you are going to keep that size controller then you are just wasting your money on the large wire. No matter what size wire you run it can only flow the amount the controller is capable of and 10 gage will handle the amps that controller can.

Lug splicer would be my choice if the controller terminal is a set screw .
Lugs direct
For the same purpose but a terminal strip attachment, I used a crimp connector with smaller spade size. The auto parts guys sell gold plated connectors like these for cheap.

Yes it is, but all I've heard is that #10 is too small to get maximum amperage and voltage to the battery...???
