The main thing I would point out is that after the first rain and after the first snow of the season, go physically check your trailer. Make sure at that point there are no problems before you let it go through multiple rains/snows.
If you catch an issue at the beginning, it's easy to fix. If it sits through several storms and there's a problem, it's going to be ugly.
Sometimes snow can cause a leaking problem where rain wouldn't because it sits on that point for an extended amount of time before melting and leaking through.
