Drv elite suites 38' loaded for 5 people. Truck loaded with extra propane and a massive cooler full of ice and drinks. 1/3 tank of fresh gray and black.
Everyone in the truck. Want to take a guess???

I've pulled from Ohio across I-70, steep roads up to 14% grade.
I've never felt I need more power, better exhaust brake yes. Holds ok until you get above 6%.
The 14 model turbo gets laggy above 9,000 feet but could make 20 lb at 13000 if you nail it. Truck is like the other two brands, limited in speed by fear and common sense. I don't like beating the RV on rough roads.

Colorado doesn't know how to build a rest area.
New Mexico secondary roads are uneven and rough.

The weight 5520,8480,15,040 total was 29040.

All of this is with in my ratings and puts my RV at over 19,000.
Sitting near white sands NM. another week of towing to go.

Yea front is rated at 5950 rear of 9650. Truck is at it 14,000 gvw and if I loaded the rear of trailer I got 1000# left of combined gvw and RV gvw. No reason to haul more. We are dry camping a lot so more water than normal.

Went to a peach orchard "high country orchard" in Colorado, had a stop sign at bottom.
The sigh said 14% went up and down it.

Maybe the MS's weight is lifting the front end, most dodge trucks seem to have a high nose when towing.

There are two other trucks with better exhaust brakes if it bothers you too much. 🙂

Interesting weights Mine are with a MS 36SB3 in tow

Front axle 5,180#

Rear axle 8,780#

trailer 14,320#

Total 28,280#

I am within my axle ratings.

Good for you on your trip!

I would have thought my front axle would weigh more since the Cummins is a heavier engine.

I would think his RAWR is sbout the same as mine, maybe higher...My truck has a RAWR of 9,750#, but is rated by manufacturer, (AAM), at 11,700#....

I would imagine if OP has had no issues at this point in their trip, that all is well with his combo:).
