Just got this unit. Furnace is fine but it is under the cabinet in the kitchen and heat pours out into the corner front cabinet and even into the pull out spice rack. Would blocking the floor vent there help to redistribute the heat. Other vents don't seem to bet much heat.

Thanks BB-TX and others. I will go to the Montana Owners Club Forum

Like the above, I would be looking at the duct work. Doesn't sound right for that much air to be coming out like that.

And since you have a new to you Mountaineer, go over to the Montana Owners Club Forum for all things Montana. Lots of good folks there with lots of Montana and Mountaineer experience and knowledge.

The furnace is always going to give off some heat. That said as posted before could be a loose duct. Might open up the space it is in, as if connected to a floor duct, it still has plugs for round ducts. One of these may have come loose and opened up. This is when aluminum duct tape becomes your best friend.

it could be that the ducts are not hooked up to the furnace any more. you will have to check that out.
