I hope it does friend of mine just bought a landmark 365 and he is determind to pull it with his 2015 2500 denali ,Just added bigger tire 3700 lb rating but still close

Sometimes we just have to do their homework for them. In another thread the OP states Big Country 3450 which has a GVWR of 15500 so the answer is NO a 2500 will not be the right TV for this trailer. Chris

Depends on the trailers actual wet pin weight.
The Big Country 3450 sows to be a 15500 GVWR trailer with a 3000 lb CCC.
This trailer has a 3100 lb pin weight potential if its loaded to 15500 lbs.

The 2500 GM has a 6200 RAWR and can weigh 3000 lb on the rear axle when empty. Now add a 250 lb hitch and another 250 lbs for gear and people = 3500 lbs on the rear axle. Now add 3100 lb pin weight = 6500-6600 lbs.

Your 2500 GM Dmax/A will have no problems pulling a 15500 lb trailer....... as any 3/4 ton truck it simply doesn't have the RAWR for carrying that much pin weight.
You would have to upgrade the rear spring set/tires and wheels for more capacity ......which is what GM does with the 3500 SRW truck.

Could not even imagine this is within capacity as just with my 28' 5'er, i am slightly over capacity. I weighed at scales and my 2015 2500 truck was few hundered lbs over GVW.

Find out what the 5er's GVW is..Ignore "dry" or "empty" weights, including "dry" pin weight. No one tows a 5er dry or empty....Use the GVW and let us know what it is...Take 20% of that and that will give you a ball park of how much pin weight you might put in the bed of your truck...

It would definitely help to know the GVW of the 38' 5er you're talking to us about.

Same axle as a 3500. If to heavy you can upgrade your springs or tires to be as stout as a 3500. I had a 08 2500 and now drive a 3500 hundred. There is a definite difference.

You have to provide more information in your request. Make and model of 5th wheel and GVWR. Chris

You will get good, experienced and most often friendly advice here.
Of course the dealer will tell you, "Sure you can pull it, no problem." It's kinds of the basic dealer speak.

Find out the GVWR (gross vehicle weight rating) of the trailer you are considering and come back here to the Forum and post the details....do this BEFORE you sign a deal with this dealer.

I haven't bought the 5th wheel yet, I'm being told my unit will pull it. I'm looking for some imformation from someone much more seasoned in this realm. I'm brand new to this!!
