2017 Work&Play 25 WAB water tank ?

I just filled my fresh water tank and the tank ' bulges ' out the bottom so far it touches the axle ? 110 gallons is a lot of weight but builders and designers should know that ? Any one else ?

  • I put 5 steel pcs 2 1/2 by one eighth inch under the tank and it looks good !
  • And your right it should. For me once I added the brace I was not worried about the tank but more the extra weight. I was already tipping the scales at 12,500 lbs and I did not see the need to add 900 more lbs to that. We did dry camp for several weeks during the year and I would fill with water once I got there and then park it...
  • Why? A trailer should be able to safely carry it's tanks at full capacity without fear of the tank becoming a highway ornament.
  • My 30WR bulged and I supported it with a section of angled steel with rubber between tank and steel. I only supported the front portion of the tank, the rear of the tank was fine.

Personally I would not tow with full water tanks for very far. If dry camping tank up as close to your destination as possible.

  • My former 30WRS bulged but it sat between the axles. How does yours touch the axles? On top of the axles? That sounds like a catastrophe waiting to happen.
  • That's over 900 lbs of water. Should have retaining straps under it. BTW, the builders don't care and the designers are clueless
