50" side by side (ROV) width regulation
Question: DW wants to sell her ATV and purchase a SxS. I am told the larger SxS 60" width are not permitted on ATV trails. What is your experience?

We are seeing more and more 50" trails around us and the FS plans on changing more to 50" every year. What we have seen this year are trails that are NOT marked 50" at the trail head, but are listed on the motorized trail map as 50" trails and people are being cited with oversized vehicles. If you plan on riding on all 2 track trails that allow motorized vehicles, then IMO, 50" SxS is the only machine to buy. My neighbor down the street, who purchased a Rzr 900 last year is trading it for a Rzr 800 50" this year, because he has been restricted from many trails he wants to ride.
