Does anyone know if there is a 5th wheel tongue/pin cover made of a rubber or foam that would cover the 5th wheel tongue and pin area and not hit your head on it when unhitched and unloading the front storage area or if there is something I can make or buy. Thank you. Ron

I have come to realize that most of the time when I hit my head on something like that, it's because there is nothing below it where I'm looking. So I tie some flagging around the objects and will notice the flagging before my head hits it.

Used a piece of pool noodle and bungee cords around the plate above the king pin(?). Saved my head a few times. Maybe try pipe insulation.

I think most use pool noodles, but they do make a square fitted commercially made one for FW pins. I don't know where to get it, but I have looked at them on other rigs. They are mostly yellow, with black writing and trim.Here it is, rvsafezone.comJerry

I stick the tripod there and keeps the GC'c from hitting their little heads as well. Grandma's happy the 5er doesn't wiggle as much. A win, win.

I hit my noggin once on the pin and have been inoculated from it ever happening again.

I do not bend low enough to hit my head on the pin, but that #@#$% light fixture has put a permanent dent in my skull.

After splitting my head open, I always use a pool noodle.

King pin not so much as I normally put a pin support under it. Slides I use Pool Noodles as you can get in very bright colors.
