I have motorhome for years with 100 gal diesel tank. Now have 5er with Ford F-350 diesel with 20 gal tank. Miss the old duel tanks on fords of yesteryear. What have you all done to get more than 200 miles between stops? 5 gal cans in bed? Messy. Looking at 50-75 gal transfer tank in pick up bed but can’t find one short enough that tonneau cover will cover. Any ideas?
Contact a company Transfer Flow in Chico ca. They have installed 3 different aux diesel tanks on 3 of my trucks over the years. Never had one problem. Currently, I have a 60 gal. diesel tank which is located where the original Dodge tank was located. They can usually install the tank in 1 day. Chico is 100 miles north of Sacramento. I think TRANSFER FLOW will ship a tank to your location where your local shop can install it. I can travel approx. 1000K miles on 1 tank. They also calibrate your current fuel gauge to read the auxiliary tank. Nothing worse than being low on diesel in area of the country you are not familiar with and then trying to find a diesel station. Personally, I would not have a truck without a larger tank. They also design tanks to be located in the back of your truck bed.
