AGM batteries in my 5th wheel

Thanks for all your suggestions/recommendations. It's all percolating in my teeny brain at the moment.

My agm's are designed for 5c max charging VS c/10 to c/20 in most flooded batteries. In my case with 3 85 AH batteries, that is a max of ~1250 amps. My inverter charger tops out at 150-160 amps, not even closer to causing them to off gas. zero maintance, ever. Surge capacity to start an AC unit off the inverter, while running the other loads.

2. Yes, so long as it is a regular charge setting and not a deep cycle charge setting.

Now, ask about temperature compensating chargers.

I like my AGM's . You wont boil a AGM dry. Long life. I would buy AGM's again.

I've four T-105s that give more power than the equivalent in Trojan AGMs at about 1/3 the price. Going AGM would have just been too expensive (the T-105s were NOT cheap either!). Even two will surprise you with what they can provide as these things are really the best deep cycle batteries around. I do have to check fluid levels once a month, but those things are so big they can loose a lot of it before the tops of the plates get dry. I'm using the same vent the 5er came with and everything's good.

I'm not in a 5er, but have Lifeline's in my TT. I run a pair of 6V 300AH batteries.

I like them for being maintenance/spill free, under normal operation, and their long life.

You pay for them, but by the time they wear out the cost would be similar to cheaper batteries that don't last as long.

What is the benefit to you that the extra money is OK to spend?
Otherwise I recommend Lifeline.

You can also consider using two deep cycle 6V AGM batteries hooked in series. That's what I did.
