Looking for the correct configuration for a 5th Airborne air ride hitch Pin box for a 2003 carriage cameo LXI F35KS3. Since carriage makes their own frames I don't know which Frame model / bolt pattern to order for the pin box. Help please!

Have had a 5th AB for sometime now on rig in sig. No problems. Trailer Air (TA) and 5th AB both use a air bag which over time, they will lose air. Perhaps I'm missing something here, but I don't see where the TA won't leak air like those that say the 5th AB does. Remember, the Titanic wasn't supposed to sink either but it was made of steel and it sunk. So IMO, air bags will leak air at some point.

My Trailair leaks some air, I'm thinking they all do. I just air it up at the start of the trip and let it go. If were gone longer than a week or two I will have to add air.

Mine leaked air from day 1... I carried a compressor with me.. Finally last summer I got tired of airing it up before every trip so I called them... They sent me new lines , connectors , and a new bag. I put it all on last year and have not added air since!!!

Like anything that takes air.....it needs to be checked and maintained on a regular basis.
I have the 5th Airborne and it performs very well.

Hitch

5AB-E510-710 would be the proper hitch for my rig. 12 1/2" is the width of the frame piece that the hitch bolts onto.

I got the Trailair Tri-Glide and it's amazing how smooth. Never had air pinbox before but wouldn't be without again

I have a 5AB on mine and like it...but then again I have not tried anything different. I air mine up once a trip and forget about it.

Do your self a favor and compare the Airborn to the TrailAir. The pivot point on the TrailAir is much longer to the kingpin. The Airborn is short so in reality the Airborn will be moving the RV/TV fore and aft every time the bag is compressed. Anyone that has towed with both will tell you the TrailAir is hands down a better product. More expensive but well worth the extra cost.

Precisely. You don't know unless you have compared both & done it with near identical trailers.

Been there. Done that. Wish that I had insisted on Trail Air on my current trailer.

Like others have stated the 5th Airborne is ok but having to add air all the time is a pain. Have called Reese and they have sent me a new airbag and hose it still has a slow leak. Now they gave up on me and I don't hear from them anymore. I would try another brand next time.

What I like about my Trailair is its adjustability, depending on the load or road conditions I can fine tune it.

Of course I have an on board compressor which makes it an easy job.

My 5AB works very good. It came on the 5er and I can tell you, my 08 model looks totally different from the new ones. The new ones look like they only have 1/2 the travel as mine. Craig
