Air ride hitches?

In the market for an air ride hitch and tried to search but cant find anything on air-hitch from mountain master. Is anyone using this air ride hitch? Looking for reviews before I spend the money. It seems like most are using the trailer saver but I like the looks of the air-hitch form mountain master a little better. Anyone with any experience with this hitch? Thanks for any input
  • I bought the airsafe 25k in 2008 very happy with it.Its pricey but way better ride then any solid hitch on the market.Go for it you will not regret it.
  • I have another alpenlite that had what I think was the mountain master airhitch.

It had an air bag for front to back as well as the up and down airbags. It looked funny backing into an rv site with the front to back movement but he liked it. MH guy now so not more I can say. The pin air bags work good also.

  • We have been running the Hensley, Trailer Saver, TS3 for 2 years now and love the ride we get from this hitch. It is BIg, heavy and expensive but works well.

  • I never came across Mountain Master when doing research before buying my air hitch. Actually, I had never heard of them before your post. Please post back with your comments and impressions on the hitch should you decide to hit the buy button.

I see no reason to ever need a different hitch but I'm sure the other members would appreciate it. Thanks in advance.
  • It IS a lot of money. But air bags and air hitches are two different beasts.

Air bags will not isolate the trailer from the truck like an air hitch does. Air hitches absorb truck jolts and bounces without passing them along to the trailer. And they do the same thing in reverse - absorbing trailer bounces that would be passed along to the truck. Try to visualize the hitchpin resting on a big pillow.

I have a Hensley BD3 and also a Mor/Ryde pinbox and between the air hitch and the pinbox, I enjoy a mostly smooth ride, even over rough roads.
  • It's a Lotta money for air ride. I choose airbags over rear axle and a solid hitch.
  • We have had our easyrider/reese airhitch since 2001. No many have come and gone. Usually patent issues made some go out of business. We would buy the trailsaver TS3 if another air hitch had to be bought.

I have the airsafe 25K air hitch. I bought it new in 2006. It has 4 air bags and does a great job. Nothing moves in the RV when traveling unless you have to slam on the brakes. This is my #1 choice. My #2 choice is the TrailSaver TS3 air hitch. They do not give these air hitches away. But you get what you pay for. These hitches have the binkley holland head on them. This is the head you want on your hitch.
You either want a smooth ride going down the road for the RV and truck. Or you skimp on the hitch and put the RV and truck in a bind going down the road. The good thing is you only by the hitch once. You are spending a lot of money on your RV so why skimp on the hitch.
