Airbag assist rear suspension??

I’m gonna be getting our Fifth wheel, and I wanted to add an airbag suspension to my 2007 Dodge ram 2500 Cummins. Are there any kiits after market that you guys would recommend. I’m not looking to go cheap on this. I’m not overloaded I just need to raise the rear end up about an 1.5 to 2 inches. I don’t want to add an additional early spring because the every day drive would be like riding in a dump truck. If anyone has any recommendations please Provide them. Thank you for your help. I went with Firestone airbags and they work great!! Very solid set-up in many respects.

Some RAM friends rode to dinner with us and they both commented on how good the ride was. To be fair they run 65 rear but only use their truck for towing. I run 35 empty, I am sure the two thin springs and air bags do make for a better ride.

That is the one option I wish our 2016 had. I am sure it makes the empty ride smooth.

Thanks, that won’t solve my issues. When I put 4K+ pounds on the gooseneck ball or my 5th wheel plate....I need to level the truck!

No, they are just like rubber bounce stops only hollow and taller.

DBHMEH, On our 2007 Ram 3500 SRW Cummins, we went with the Firestone system with the pump. Easy install, easy to use. Our 5er has a lot of pin weight, and we could not consider towing without. Our truck was sprung so soft, the first time we towed at night (right after we got the trailer), we used low beams to be able to see the road, lighting pattern was like high beams. When we met an oncoming vehicle, we went to high beams to put the lights “over” the approaching vehicle. The road in front of us was dark...NO LIGHT ON THE ROAD! One trip.....and we were buying air bags!

They are made by Firestone supplied OE from RAM.

Friends that have a 3500 15 RAM DRW just rode with us to dinner and then were impressed with the ride.

I have Timbrens on my truck and prefer them to bags. No change in the unloaded ride but it firms things up nicely when fully loaded, and they're simple and require no maintenance or adjustments.

Firestone's for me also. 5 lbs when not towing and around 22 lbs when towing. Many tend to over inflate the air bags for the load they are carrying. Firestone says every 1 pound of pressure will support 40 pounds of weight. If you already have a 3/4 ton (1500 lb) truck and you put a 2500 lb pin weight on it you only really need another 1000 pounds of support. 25 X 40 equals 1,000. Going higher than what you actually need just makes for a rough ride and applies more shock to all the components of the truck and trailer.

Original poster, if you truly don't want to go cheap and plan on keeping your truck you can do what I did and go 4 link suspension with full air ride. I do not have springs on my 05 Ram. Imo, it's the only way to go for complete control over ride and handling.
