I might have missed it since I didn't read all 4 pages but the OP showed a Dually and 5er. Was that photo a Anderson hitch? It appeared that the 5er became dislodged from the pickup which ever hitch was used, crashing into the pickup.
I took it as it was a gooseneck, typical for a horse trailer. I don't think it became dislodged, on second look maybe it did.
My point was IMHO the Andersen will not hold up when in a bad situation as well as other hitches. Just something to think about if considering one.
