Andersen hitch on Trailair Rota Flex

I have a Columbus 5th wheel with the Trailair Rota Flex hitch. Can I use the Andersen Ultimate Hitch with this ?
  • Just don't hit the brakes too hard :) ...sorry couldn't resist :B
  • how about that ... (Above) ... did not see that when I took a quick glance at the pictures. Mea Culpa.
  • As noted in the link, the placement of the ball adapter ahead or behind the king pin is going to try to make the Rolo Flex tilt one direction or the other.

    So the answer is NO!

Saw a guy last year in Yuma with a gooseneck adapter on one! Scary!

  • Look at the last entry in THIS thread. You could contact Rob and ask where he got his information.
  • Andersen will just respond with "we have tested many different pin box designs and have not found an improvement in ride. We recommend using your factory solid pin box." Or something to that affect.

    WTH...

    Another happy Andersen Ultimate owner.

    Ditto on all counts.

  • I don't see why not. Its just a ball and socket. Just like a bumper-pull or gooseneck arrangement, trailers turn, twist and pivot on the ball all day long. Nothing different here.
