The PDI went smoothly, we spent a day getting to know it and loading everything, then they jumped on things as we found them.
I have heard nothing but good about dealing with Attitude at the factory.

Yep, I'm planning a long trip home! Best actually had the best prices I've found. Even if I can leverage the guys in CO I may still go to the factory to pick it up, if they will let me. Ther're talking $1500 shipping to Co (who really knows). Did you have major issues on the PDI?

Having purchased a Fuzion from Best, I'd be hesitant to travel purchase from them for this reason, they would not allow me to leave the unit to clear PDI issues. The owner insisted that I had to have an appointment first! This after they pleaded for me to give them the check so they could deposit it on a Saturday!

You have right idea to just use them as pricing tool, Toy Hauler Liquidators seems much more dialed when I've gone there. You might consider a Cyclone 2812 which they have, ours was great. Just sold it over the weekend, these long distance pickups can be fun. We ordered the Cyclone from Holman's and took a month on the way home via Black Hills and Yellowstone. Best of luck with your hunt.

Toy Hauler Liquidators also has a store in Rocklin, California, east of Sacramento.
That is where we bought our 32AKLG. Very easy to deal with. I am too old and don't play well with salesmen, and we had a good experience.

That's where I bought my 27CBG. Easy to deal with, great price. I do my own service when needed (minimal in 12k miles). I read too many bad things about Best RV Sales and Service depts to buy there. Best RV is a great place to shop with so many on the lot though. See Grins in Gilroy another good NorCal sales shop - plus they have indoor showroom so no lot rot.

I talked to Eclipse about owning one of their trailers and not having a dealer close. I do have a local RV repair shop that I've had a longtime relationship with and they will do any service work on it. Eclipse said they would have to approve any warranty work but assured me that wouldn't be a problem. Soooo-- obviously I'm taking a chance on Eclipse. A friend with the 28SAG? side aisle, is happy with his except he now wishes he had the roadside slide.
I've noticied that Best has some good pricing and I'll use them as leverage in dealing with the CO guys. Has anyone done business with Toyhauler Liquidators? The have good prices also, like I said earlier a trip to CA is no biggie. Keep the info coming guys, the more I know the better it is!

Eclipse holds all their dealers to a minimum advertise price index, and limits what they can sell the units for over the internet. When we purchased ours, Best RV Internet price was $3,000 below our local dealer's so-called cost. As it turns out, there is huge markup In these units and Best RV purchases a large volume (sometimes an entire production run) and is more motivated to turn and burn. Good luck with any repairs or customer service (see other threads for info). But if you don't plan on them fixing it anyways, go for it.

I'm dissapointed that these haulers don't have 12 volt access. We like to run a fan in the bedroom so 12 volts is a must have if we aren't in a campground.
My buddy has the 28 SAG and they didn't get the refrigerator drain line hooked up but he managed to get it fixed himself.

The 32AKLG is pretty high on my list but the missus really likes the bedroom slide out. If we can't get the prices down the 32 or 28 will probably be what we end up with.

I may have to go to California to get one at a decent price, seems funny saying that!!

I agree the further you go away from California the less dealers/competition and therefore not as good pricing.

Our freg is mounted on the side, and we have never had an issue (it has an automatic re-lighter). However, I had a Lance Truck Camper and the Atwater Water Heater toasted the side of camper while driving (wind claim in and made a blow torch from the exhaust. Lance claimed it was Atwater; Atwater calmed it was Lance. Needless to say, I now turn all gas devices off at the tank before heading down the road.
