Awning Cover

My Awning Cover needs to be replaced. I have a new one that is too long. The new one is 21 Feet long. It needs to be no longer than 17 Feet. Where can I go to get it cut off and re-sewed so it does not fray? I was thinking maybe an Upholstery Shop. Any other Ideas? It would be less expensive to modify it, than to get a new one.
  • Thanks for all of the Responses. I found a Tent and Tarp Place that re-sized it for about $20.
  • Check with a local boat dealer. They will know a shop that makes custom covers all the time.
  • Where we live there is an awning shop within 10 miles and another withing 25 miles. Check your yellow pages. Stick and brick homes use them all the time. Boats and other rv's need covers too, so they could help you.
  • There are replacements available on eBay for about $120.
    Avoid them like the plague.
Cheap junk that the sun comes right through.
I figure I'll have to replace it again when it's a few years old.
