B&W Companion Owners question

I would appreciate any info on this. What is the height from floor of bed to top of hitch head at the lowest setting of the hitch head? I have not purchased the B&W companion yet but validating to see if I will be running too nose high.

Thanks

I see that the 16-1/4" is the lowest setting in the specs but was not sure if that is top of arm or hitch head.Thx

Call B&W and =ask=. ;-) They're great to deal with and I'm sure could answer this in very short order. My gut feeling that any measurement would be meaningless if it's not from the bed to the top of the FW plate on the hitch at each hole setting. Also, you might want to ask them what the fore/aft measurements are for each hole, and with the side plates in either position (they can be swapped side-to-side for more adjustments) in relationship to the axle centerline. I know that on my '02 D'max SWB it's only something like 1.75-2" forward of the axle in the forward-most holes, which surprised me; it looked at least another inch, by eye.

  • I just measured mine and it is 17" to the top of the coupler. Mine is a slider hitch though. According to the website, the non-slider is 3/4" lower. Jerry.
  • Thanks guys. Looks like with 6" clear at top of bed rails I will be a couple inches nose high after an assumed squat of + or - 2 ". Should work.
  • Can check mine tomorrow. As its mounted in the lowest hole.
