Back to a fiver

Well the DW and I had been contemplating for a good while of going back to a fiver. We have had rv's from tents, to a Class a dp. It seemed we wanted the room of a fiver. We made a great deal and pulled the fiver home today. I fully expect with me in my mid 60's this will be the last one I ever buy new. Each rv has its pros and cons. In the end you get what you feel will serve you best.
  • campinghoss@51,

We are going to the outerbanks in July. Are you close to there? We are about 7 hours, I think. We have never been there before. We are staying at Camp Hatteras.

Still having trouble with quotes and notification. Hope you see my question.
  • We just upgraded to a Jayco Eagle 5th Wheel, we could not be happier! Wife like all the extra room. Was not sad to see the ol'trailer not in the drive way anymore.
  • Since RV’s rarely if ever make money, I have a hard time wrapping my head around the stories of multiple trades and changes. We owned our cabover for 11 years and just got a 5th wheel as our last RV.

Upsize, downsize, so forth and so on.
We bought a Class C last May and we plan to keep it till we die. hahah

    Waving,

and wishing you many wonderful travels. Where are you headed first with this new house on wheels?

I would have to stop and do some serious thinking to figure out the boats, campers, motorcycles, pickups, cars and other toys I have had. Too many I know that for sure but I have had a good time.

We will probably run down to Rodanthe for a few days in April for the first shake down cruise. We have to put all our stuff in it first. In May we are heading to Florida. sometime later on to Pigeon Forge and in-between the longer hauls back down to the Outer Banks.
  • If I count boats used for overnighting as RVs we are on #4. 3 boats. 21', 27', & 32'. The 5er of 11 years is the first & likely only RV with wheels that we will have. We have done over 1,500 nights onboard it & still going strong.
  • We started out in a pop up went through a 22 foot tt then a 32 foot tt with 2 slide then a 35 foot 4 slide fifth wheel and are now very happily downsized to a three slide truck camper,
