Beginning Mods To My New Arctic Fox 27-5L

There are always things we want to change or add.

Since trailers don't come with a Blu-Ray player yet, I bypassed the installed Jensen regular DVD player and installed a Sony Blu-Ray. Only had to drill one hole in the cabinet. In addition to the stock 1080p Vizio 32" flat screen, I added a 29" Vizio sound bar. I have the option of using the sound bar, or playing the movie through the ceiling speakers. I also bundled all the wires behind the TV to clean up the area.

The hall door and bathroom door had just regular door stops. I removed those and replaced them with magnetic door stops that are strong enough to keep the door in the desired position even when rolling down the road.

Mods can be such fun! :)

  • If I may ask, what dealer did you go to for the purchase of your Arctic Fox? My only concern with the 27-5L is no dedicated space for a washer and dryer. I'm wondering if this could be an owner mod or if the factory could provide this mod on a special order?
  • OP what all you do hav9e planned for mods?

Other post... wive drug me all around arctic fox dealers...Sumner rv is where we bought from. Bought in winter... not much rv,ing going on that time of year. Good folks but they sure pushed extended warranty.

Leo. Northwood says there is no place on a 5L for washer/dryer. Sorry. You have to go to a 29-5K fifth wheel or bigger to do washer and dryer. The 5L is 29.5 feet long. The 29-5K
    is 35 feet in length.

I was very happy with the dealer here in Or-E-Gun. It was Apache Camping Center in Happy Valley, Oregon (Clackamas OR).

    Apache

I got a very good price, and their PMI procedure is very good.

I already have slide toppers on. Waiting for the Mor/ryde 4 step to arrive.

Since my trailer being an 18, had the fold out steps, this will be a good change. Not so much of a huge step and firmer feel.

I am going to install the Mor/ryde storage box where the current fold out steps are.

I am going to install a stronger, strong box, but not under the bed. Have not decided where to put it yet.

I do have a Furrion 381556 FOS48TAPK-BL Wireless High-Speed RV Observation System but, have to installed it yet.

Those are the ones I have currently planned. As I see other mods that people do, I may add some, but, the trailer already has pretty much everything I want/need.

My main goal right now is to finish installing my painted chain link fence around the RV pad. I have already had pavers and retaining wall done. Have 30 amp installed and working.
  • Sounds like you're on a roll. I spent 1st two weeks thinking. Have you looked at thread of mods that is real long. Lots of ideas
  • Lots of space in the water pump area for something like a strong box. One of our most used mods in ours is removing the panel to access the area and replacing with a factory door Apache got for me. I put in a removable shelf, we put our shoes in the area when first coming inside.

    Have fun with your mods!

    Good suggestion! Thanks
