Best route from Vernal Ut to Fruia Co
I see there are a couple ways to get to Fruita from Vernal. 1. 191 around to i70 2. 139 down over Douglas pass Which would be the easiest to pull. 30Ft Montana.

How comfortable are you driving mountain road towing?
Vernal to Fruita is about 130 miles going to Rangely and over Douglas Pass.
Typical mountain 2 lane road but only a few switchbacks...southbound is steepest decline and lots of truck traffic
The other route you mentioned.......Hwy 191/I-70....260 miles.
Easy drive......but almost 5 hours vs little over 2 hours.
I tow 34' 5vr but I always take back roads
