Black Tank Valve

2015 Keystone Mountaimeer, black tank valve seems to only want to close almost all the way. I can push it all the way in and then it comes back like an 1/8 an inch?? At the house today I ran my sewer hose to the bushes and played around with it, after pushing in and holding it in, it finally stayed in?? For now I'm good, never had this issue on my last 5er.
  • While i was at it on y 2010 Keystone Laredo, I replaced the whole mechanism by Valteera from amazon. The cable lengths are easy to adjust and come with those instructions.
  • Check the lenght of the cable, it may be way to long. When you push on the handle the cable will move some do to the long length and valve will not fully close. I just went through this. Pull the coroplast down and zip ties the cable to the frame supports. My cable was probably a 6-8' too long.
  • Or it is packed tight with toilet paper. Either way, disassembly is in your future.
  • Sounds like a gasket has slipped. Best fix, take it apart and reassemble using lots of plumbers grease.
