blow up bed

We have a blow-up mattress in our FW, have used it one time when granddaughters slept with us while camping at Jackson Lake in Grand Teton National Park. Other than that, no use. The couch is fairly comfortable, but we don't use it often as we usually sit in the rear on the swivel chairs. Have considered changing out the swivel chairs with some Ekornes recliners that we don't use much, but haven't gotten around to even seeing if they fit.

Slightly related......anybody know where to get a 12 V "short queen" blow up mattress ?? I might be in the market for one. New or clean used.

My wife and I tend to argue on this point but I believe in bringing a tent for the company. The blow up bed stays in the their tent, less clutter and everyone has their privacy.

We had the Air Mattress when we first bought the 5th wheel. The drawer that pulls out from the bottom of the sofa was taring the fabric on the corners and the mattress was a PITA!! We were able to get the sofa manufacturer to swap it out for a tri-fold that uses the cushions as a mattress. This works much better and is very easy and fast to set up and take down.

It is bad enough to have to make up a sofa every morning, worse still to have to do an air mattress. After 5 years having not used it even once, we just pulled it out and replaced it with a reclining sofa set from Recpro. We could still make the dinette into a bed if we absolutely had to, but that probably won't happen either. If we have guests, they had better bring a tent along. Or, a couple of sleeping bags to lay on the floor in front of the sofa. Which is probably more comfortable anyway.

My Serta bed does the above plus its got that 'never flat pump' where it stays perfectly blown up all night. I sleep with the dog, my wife doesn't allow dogs in her bed but I love this air mattress so no problem.

The air mattress is very comfortable as opposed to replacing it with a cheap, thin, sleeper sofa style mattress. I have to clarify that the pain with ours is that due to our floor plan 3055RL, the sofa opens up and blocks entry into the main living area where the recliners are. So anyone sleeping there, has to fold it up for the day's ease of use for that area. That's it. It blows up quickly (even plugged in when boondocking (because of our solar system)) and deflates quickly too.
