XPS Ribs.....if you're after a E-rated tire....mine are 8 years old and going strong, show no sign of wear. I regularly apply 303 UV protectant and they are covered all the time when not in use. My tire guy said I could get 10 years out of them....I will probably replace them over the winter.
I run Michelin's on my truck without an issue in 20 years. I had the same dilemma as you a couple of years ago. XPS or R250. I went with the R250's because they saved us about $ 250.00 . I have no regrets at all . Excellent tires .
Duravis R250’s are great tires. 15k miles through everything from snow, scorching heat, many a back roads, and no problems. Still looked brand new when we sold the 5r.
Gonna start an argument... We prefer Sailuns, We are now on our second set on the 5'er, haven't had a problem with them after 2 round trips cross country +. Going to put them on the truck in Nov. Good Luck and Happy Camping !!
The XPS Ribs are a commercial grade truck tire that are also certified by Michelin for use on trailers. I don't think the Bridgestones have that rating.
Both are a commercial grade all steel ply carcass tire and both are recommended for trailer use by Michelin and Bridgestone through emails....1-800 and their dealers. Both are the holy grail of LT E tires especially all type of trailers including rv trailer so you can't go wrong with either. Tirerack.com shows the LT E XPS Ribs at 266 bucks vs 213 bucks for the R-250
