This is how the regulation reads when the RV trailer is equipped from the factory with a propane system.

“The weight of full propane tanks must be included in the RV's UVW and the weight of on-board potable water must be treated as cargo.”

Yes, anything you put in the trailer comes off the ccc just like anything you add to the truck comes off its payload.

Yes! All water added - fresh, gray & black - is classified as cargo.

Would suggest you get your rig set up the way you want and have it weighted. I was surprised how overweight we were so we went on a diet. As a general rule we only carry less than a 1/4 of a tank of water to keep weight down. If we are camping at a spot without water we fill up just before we set-up.

Also after each trip we looked what we are using and not using and take that stuff out. Were on a CAT scale last summer and we are still about 300 pounds over. Just ordered a new truck and got a one ton this time.

If your CCC is say, 1500lbs and you have a 30gal fresh water tank then you subtract the weight of the fresh water (250lbs) from the 1500lb CCC.
