Caulking type around lights

Hi all,
Just did the inspection around the lights on my fiver and found that I need to caulk the tops of the side lights again. What type of caulk is recommended to use to do that? I know silicone is not good for that but can you use Dicor?
Thanks,
Curly
  • I just noticed that the taillights need to be sealed again also. Will find some Dicor. Thanks

  • To do it right, take the lights off, pop the cap and two screws. Clean everything really well, apply a new bead of butyl putty tape. And put it back together. Next day using a plastic scraper, remove the excess putty and apply a bead of Dicor around the top and sides. Be sure to leave the bottom with no Dicor to allow a place for water to escape.
