Considering Going From 5th Wheel to TT --- Am I crazy?
Hi Team,
Looking for some feedback and constructive critism on my logic.
Backgound
1) I own a 2010 F250 CC 2WD Diesel
2) To stay close to the trucks payload specs, we own a 28ftoot 5th wheel with a dry pin wieght of 1300 pounds.
3) Considering a Toy hauler to carry an assortment of toys and add some space.
Issue
1) Most all (if not all) 5th wheels that meet our requirements are way over the pin wieght I want to carry
2) So we arre considering a Evergreen Amped 32 GS TT. It is a very 5th wheel like TT, Very high cielings, lots of storage, etc....
So my questions:
1) am I nuts going from a 5th wheel to a TT
2) Equiped with a hensley or ProPride hitch, can I expect reasonable similar towing behavior to my Trail Air Tri Glide Equiped 5th wheel?
3) How about mileage? Will I see a drop going to a TT?
Any inputs would be appreciated...
Thanks
Dan
