converter

Having problems with the converter, the fan is not running and one of the 110 breakers is getting hot and kicking off. I have surge protector 50 amp made by progressive industries. Do I just need to change the breaker and what do I do about the fan,I put computer fan in but it still does not run. Know just enough about electricity to get into trouble. The converter is a Parallax power supply 2004 Montana 3670RL
  • Sounds like it is a little overloaded.
I would suggest checking the connections in the 120 volt AC panel.
Disconnect from shore power, remove cover from the 120 volt AC breakers, tighten the connections on the circuit breakers, look closely in back of panel for the neutral buss bar(where white wires connect) Tighten the wires on neutral buss.
I would suggest before starting to go to hardware store and get some electrical de-oxidation grease. Many of the neutral buss bars are aluminum or other material then good copper. The electrical grease will help to prevent oxidation which increases resistance which increases amperage.
  • the breaker is the one that goes to the ref., and portable heater, so removed heater and is still getting hot but not as hot.
  • What is controlled by the circuit breaker that is tripping?
Converter? are you using a space heater? Refer?
