Is Curt a good hitch? I have always had Reese hitches but have an opportunity to get a 20K Curt for $250. Looks fairly new. Thanks

We went to Alaska and over 120 nights on the road we hitched and unhitched over 90 some times and it worked like a charm...I like Curts locking feature better than a reese....

I was happy or so I thought with my RBW until a friend convinced me to get a B&W. Now I want to pass along that good suggestion to others.

The Curt is not cheap - in quality or price. I just stopped using my Q24 with slider. Why? Weight. There was no way I was getting that thing out of my bed. My other annoyance with it was somewhat of a challenge to hitch and unhitch. Positive lock, yes. But finicky.

Am a happy B&W convert.

I'm really surprised no one has had any complaints. I bought mine 8 years ago when I bought my truck. It's always rattled and clunks terrible. I can see the pin shifting in the hitch. Someone pointed out to me once the small jaws when compared to a quality unit.
It was 'cheap' in more ways than one.

Agreed, I just suggest people in the market compare side by side what they are looking at to a B&W.

I have been using a Curt Q20 for 4 years now. We are fulltimers, and have done 35,000 towing miles in that time. The hitch has performed flawlessly. Very easy to couple and uncouple, and it is quiet, no rattles or banging. I would definitely buy again. Check our blog here for more technical info.
