Since there does not currently seem to be a Jayco owners forum, Moderator Frank has graciously allowed this thread. It will be for discussing Jayco related questions and comments. Anything not Jayco related will be deleted. Sounds more than fair to me. Thank-you Frank!

We have ours scheduled for its first visit back to the dealership next Tuesday for our list of warranty stuff. Last night I found a new issue. There is a nasty soft spot in the kitchen right in front of the first heat vent in the carpet. I guess the plywood sub-floor has come loose here? Nonetheless, you can see a crease in the linoleum where it drops down. If you step here, it makes an awful "creak"! I hope my dealer can tackle this. It won't be fun, I can assure you!

DW and I have discovered that the mattress in here is the worst ever made by man!! You feel like you are sleeping in a huge valley and can't get out of it. It is terrible. I hope Jayco will replace it.

Also, I noticed that there may be a fan installed in my fridge as I walked around it yesterday and heard something running. The fridge was running in the a/c mode.

We also had an excellent extended weekend. Man I'm tired. As you can figure we also have a sureflow. I'm thinking about cutting a couple sections of tire to mount the the channels and bolt the pump to. Then I will just have the noise of the motor itself which I doubt you could hear other than right over it. Like whporwil said, you could put some foam or sounddeadoning in between.

Tonight was another round of cleaning bugs!

On topic, something that was mentioned earlier was the a/c's being ducted. Since we had a 30 amp site we were only able to run one a/c at a time. The rear unit feeds two ducts, One is short and goes to the kitchen area with 2 vents, the other goes all the way to the bedroom and feeds 4 vents. The a/c was a little noisy for Guitar Hero so we kicked on the front a/c and just closed the bed and bath vents and was able to keep the living area very cool. Another tip is to open the quick cool on the far unit if you are only running one. It helps get a little more cool air to the far end.

Just got in from another great trip in the Jayco. Liking the rig more with each trip, and this was our 7th with it. Saw earlier post about heat from fridge, and checked pantry this time out. It was warm on the fridge side, and looking at installing a fan too. Have saw the ones that are solar powered, wondered if anyone has used one.

Definitely a shurflow in my RLSA and it is mounted to the exterior wall above the water heater. It's high enough to be placed between two of the aluminum floor channels that run the long way on our campers. I would guess that cavitty amplifies the noise of the pump. I think a one inch pice of styrafoam attached to the ceiling over the pump would quite it down inside the camper. But most of the noise I get is from the vibration of the pump running so I may find a different way to mount it. Looking at my control pannel I have a one inch gap between the top of the panel and the ceiling, looking in that gap you can see the very top of the water pump.

Mine is a shur flow, but I have to tell you ... both the DW and I are very pleased that the pump is so much quieter than any other TT we've had !! :h

Mine is above the water heater and behind the valve panel. I think it's a shurflo, but I am not for certain.

edit....I forgot to mention that ours had gotten quieter, but it is still audible. If you lay down in our hallway you get a mini massage. ANOTHER BONUS - RLSA! With the curved hallway I'm developing scoliosis.

Definitely not a quiet one though...where exactly is it located at? I'm assuming somehere behind that access panel located close to the water heater...

you have to pour it real slow with something to get it to fill all the way up. if you use the gas pump, it will kick off at 3/4, as to why I though the guage was off. To get the last gallon or so in, try pouring the final bit into an old water jug (make sure there is no water left in it) and then pour it in.

Amazing what happens when you fill it all the way huh Loyd? :S ๐Ÿ˜› ๐Ÿ™‚

Still have to find an easier way to fill that gas tank other than using a gas can...can't get that last gallon or so into the tank...other than filling while at the gas station (um yes could you turn on both the diesel and gas pumps please? (based on the look on the attendants face)) I suppose you could use some kind of 12V pump....not sure

Mine handled both a/c's just fine, but then I have a 6500 where you guys have the 5500 genset. BTW, the gas guage is correct, I kept adding fuel until it got all way to top and it read full.

Anyone try to run their 2 A/C's with the generator yet? Curious to know how the generator did...

A few weeks ago ran both A/C's, Watched the SUNS get whooped by San Antonio on the big screen, popped pop corn in the microwave ... all at the same time. Generator had absolutely no issues. Used an average of just under a gallon of gas an hour !!

I washed mine last weekend and waxed with ProtectAll. Works great. Now if it would only stay clean!
