So the cavity was mostly empty. It takes quite a few pumps just to fill the voids and then to push out the old grease.
You need to pump enough grease into the system to see fresh grease coming out and scoop away old grease. Sounds like you need to read the DEXTER directions and give it a shot yourself. As I said the grease flowed thru the bearings very easily.
