Disappearing TV mounting rack

I have a 2012 Cedar Creek where the tv is mounted on a rack that has a switch to make it go up and down. The tv is now stuck in the open (visible) position and the switch does not now work. Does anybody know of such problem or know of a manual option where I can lower my tv for travel? Please respond to

    I'd verify that all of the connections are tight. Definitely don't travel with it in the up position, remove the TV if necessary.

    Check the in-line fuse to see if it is blown. The fuse is located near the lead wire to the rack gear motor behind the TV on my 2011 Cedar Creek Custom.

    This is one of those interminent problems, as it worked a few minutes ago. I will check the in line fuse next but it must be a minor short. Thanks for all the suggestions, I was not looking forward to an extensive fix.

    I had to remove and basically rebuild mine after towing with the TV in the up position (let's blame my wife). Huge pain but once it's removed it's really not all that complicated.

    or could be a loose wire or connection

    In-line fuses can be a problem.I have had problems that I was able to repair by stretching the spring inside.They sometime lose the connection causing....intermittent problems!
    Cheap,quick fix if that's where the trouble is.

    Check the switch. The contacts in it can wear out causing intermittent loss of power. Sometimes activating the switch by applying pressure at different angles to get contact inside will reveal if this is the problem. I have had this happen on other devices that operate similarly.
