I am in CAL now and need to go east.....to home. I am in Sequoia N park now. Would like to get over to Great Basin NP in the quickest way possible.

Took my 37'er thru there with no problems. Came in from the north and left from Fishing Bridge to the east.

I recall seeing on the news recently something about road closures in Yosemite, but I do not recall which one's or for how long. I think one was Hwy. 140, but I believe it has reopened. Might want to check with the park people to be sure before you have to turn around somewhere. Have a good trip.

Are you talking about going east through the park via Tuolumne Meadows? If so the you might be going up and into the Park via Tioga Pass Road (SR 120), that's another story altogether.

It can be done using the primary roads. Some of the secondary roads leading to sight seeing spots or campgrounds may be too tight.
