I am glad I have a SRW. We tow a 40ft'er and it does a great job. When we unhook and go places it sure is nice to be able to go anywhere in a town, city or where ever and not worry to much about parking or getting in and out of places.
Our F350 SRW is a 1-ton. A F350 Dually is a 1-ton. Really not rocket science.
Enjoy rv'ing. We do.

Funny, I have the 1 ton dually and go everywhere we want to go once we drop the 5er...I even go though drive through windows at the bank and at fast food places, (guess it's what you get use to driving). I've NEVER not been able to go wherever we want to go...May park a little farther out, but it protects my great looking truck from getting dinged up and the exercise sure doesn't hurt.....only difference is the wider hips, BUT a lot more payload.
Didn't quite get your drift of "really not rocket science"????? a 1 ton SRW versus a 1 ton DRW truck...you're right, it's not rocket science. The 1 ton DUALLY allows for more payload and for more GCWR.....do the research, so simple a caveman could do it, so you're right, not rocket science, but the dually will handle more 5er than a 1 ton SRW truck, just look at the specs.
Per the OP, wanted to know if some had towed the SAME 5er with BOTH trucks....I have, the dually offers a little more stability when towing on mountainous, curvy roads, I know that as fact from "MY" experience...Have you towed the same 5er with both SRW and DRW truck?
