Dutchman Denali

Is this 5vr built with wood? On the brochure is says that it has 2x3 joists and 3/8" flooring from wood? Not sounding good to me. Darn I thought I found a real good buy but if this is how they are built I am not sure?

Can't remember when Keystone forced Dutchemen Denali to be built in the Komfort factory in Oregon. Might have been after the 2013s. You can find that out.

After that, the Denali should have had the same "Alumacage" as the Komfort.

Komfort itself started getting al cages when that Oregon factory opened about 2002. Before that they had wood. But after that, like the Keystone boss said, after buying them out, "Komfort lost its way" and started making fake Komforts like "Trailblazer by Komfort" etc, which had the al side studs but had wooden roof struts. Not full al all around like "real Komforts".

I did read that at the end there, a couple years ago, a Denali was the same as a Komfort built in the same factory-- just a graphic change for the name, but maybe? they also were "fake Komforts" with al side studs and wooden roof struts, don't know.

Your brochure should be clear on whether it is a "Komfort" Denali or not, and whether Keystone was in there yet.
  • 2x2,2x3 studs is pretty common. Heck even aluminum framing is 2x2. 3/8 flooring is pretty thin. Most are at least half inch. There is nothing wrong with wood framing if there are no leaks.
