Eclipse Stellar Wide Lite entertainment system replacement

I doubt anyone else has looked into this yet, but here goes.

I'm a little underwhelemed by the stock AV system that comes in the rig, and am considering replacing it. Wondering if anyone else has looked into this and if so what you went with?

Must haves -
-Blu Ray DVD player
-MP3 player with accessible front USB port
-iPhone compatible with accessible front port
-Something with better equalizer options

Nice to haves -
-XM/Sirius compatible
-More power
-Remote that controls the stereo not just TV

Anyone looked into this and had luck?

TIA
D
  • Have you considered a mini PC or laptop with Blu-ray and HDMI as your TH entertainment system? Using a laptop allows you to run a car adapter off 12VDC instead of needing AC or an inverter. Audio outputs could go to automotive or marine amplifiers to get as much sound as you want.
  • I too am interested in this.. NO HDMI in my jenson.. just component.
  • When I had my Weekend Warrior, we ordered it without an entertainment system. I installed a home mini system with 2+1 audio and a 5-disc DVD cartridge. If you can get your toy hauler with audio prewired, it may or may not help you - Depends if the TV location is close to the terminations or if you will have to fish video wiring.
  • Eclipse use to use a Jensen head unit that had HDMI to the TV but all the new ones are using component out. Pretty much worthless if u want to add a nice flat screen.
  • If I get sick of the Jensen unit in mine (which for some reason has no HDMI output), I might get a real dual-DIN head unit designed for auto application (with Blu-ray & HDMI interface) & add an external equalizer unit to output to the 3 speaker channels the Jensen supports. A dual-DIN head unit will do pretty much anything our stock units do & more, just can't usually split out 3 channels of output.

edit: and/or call Crutchfield for new options they might have just heard of.
