I have to respond to your statement about knowing your equipment.
I recently had a problem with my Dometic refridgerator. It quit working on electric,worked great on propane. Took to a local dealer. He had it for two days. Did all the tests the guys at Dometic told him to do and couldn't nail down the problem. Long story short I posted my problem on RV.NET and had the answer in less than 24hrs.
We can't have knowledge of every component of our rigs. Thats whats great about this site. If you don't know just ask here and there's a pretty good chance you'll get the answer like myself and To Young to Retire have.
