Has anyone had experience with these tires? The Falken page list them at 51 pounds which is on a par with both the R250's and Ribs. I know they aren't full steel but would like to get some first hand knowledge concerning service and durability.

The R52 SEMA award winner is a special Commercial Tire.

I used Commercial BF Goods and Mich - 200 each - they capture rocks and cut - esp in dually rear sidewall rock insertions.

This SEMA award winner is all about an 80psi pothole survivor - sidewall breaches to date in off-roading 4x4 rocks and straight edge hits - zero.

Contact Falken for correct construction info.

3 ply Poly sidewall!!!! This is one heavy duty tire. The 235/85R16 weighs a pound more at 52 pounds. However, as Jimnlin states it is not in the same league as the steel carcass Rib or R250.

I would put it in a true commercial grade poly carcass class with the Bridgestone Duravis R500 HD that I just installed on my TV and reviewed.

With a 3 ply sidewall it might ride rougher than the steel ply sidewall tires, as I noted the two pile sidewall R500 rides a bit rough. Most poly carcass LT's are a single ply sidewall.

Cheap! I would be interested to know how well they balance, keep us informed.

A heavy fabric ply tire can't be said to be on par with a all steel ply carcass tire such as the R250 or Ribs.

However the tread design looks like it would make a good tire for trailer service. And at 51 lbs is a plus and would be a excellent tire for heavy duty use on a trailer that spends its life on the road.
I see Falken tires on trucks of all sizes but don't have any first hand experience with them.

Have you priced them ???

I'm running Falken Rocky Mountain 18" load range E on my F150 and am quite pleased. They ride/handle good and carry the load well. JMHO
