First trip with new fiver

Our first little trip was a definite success. We only found one small issue. The heater blasts heat at a ridiculous rate into our front bedroom and bathroom. I solved this by closing off some of the ducting in the bedroom and installing damper registers on all vent areas. Makes it much easier to regulate. I think we're ready for Yosemite now.

Love the large living area...

  • Good luck with the new camper. We have a 2010 345Sa model Brookstone that we really like. Many happy trips to you!

Nice looking rig, and a dually tow truck that will definitely do the job.

    Enjoy!

Yeah it pulls it quite easily. Have to put on my cruise as it always wants to creep up to 70 and ain't no way I want to go that fast. I'm happy in my 63-64 range.

And usually for a DW , there is no such thing as too much heat..
Good idea to use dampeners , instead of closing off all together !

I would have thought so too but when the heat came on that first night and the room turned into the Sahara Desert she actually said something I thought I would never hear. "It's too hot in here".

  • Thank you, we do love it. Yeah, it's my wife's best friend and her husband. We don't usually ride together as we have kayaks that have to be transported. Also we have four dogs that also travel and the wife just doesn't like them having to always sit on her lap, so they will go in the back of the second vehicle and the two ladies ride with in this vehicle. Me and the friend's husband ride in the truck. We're both pretty much the silent type so we get along quite well. It's great to have them along. Means I have to do less stuff the wife wants to do and can do my fishing thing.
  • That's a beautiful rig. Congratulations. Travelling with another couple sounds like fun. Do you all ride together or do they drive separately?
  • True, is definitely a healthy heating system. The trailer is great. We are two couples that always travel together and plenty of space for us all.
  • Looks like a real beaut!

It's better to have too much heater blast and be able to control it than not enough.

Oh btw the cross word puzzle on the table the 7 letter word across is camping
