Williams is almost an hours drive from Flag. When in Flagstaff, we stay at J&H RV Park. Clean, a little on the upper side $$ wise but includes all utilities and a strong wifi...keep in mind it is a senior oriented park....Dennis

If you can dry camp for a few days, the Bonito Campground is a Forest Service CG located just outside of the Sunset Crater National Monument.
This is a SECRET - don't tell anyone else about it, OK?? - AZ_T_TExplorerNot too far from Flagstaff is Sedona. We love the Rancho Sedona RV park. It's right on Oak Creek.
- mileshuffExplorerThere really aren't any good RV parks in Flagstaff area. A few are just ok.
Here are my thoughts:
Kit Karson is more of a dirty mobile home park. Lots of permanents.
Black Barts is a no frills dirt lot. Very basic.
KOA OK, basic but rather tight spots and roads. Too cramped for me.
Munds Park Clean, only good spots are up against forest. Rest border rental cabins and permanents.
Woody Mountain Nice forested, nice owners, camp style basic concrete bath houses, some spots are tight for larger trailers.
J&H Clean, decent spots mostly back in. Kids allowed but really a senior park. Owners want all outside lights off at 9pm. Didn't like us drinking a bottle of wine outside.
Greer's Pine Shadows Have never stayed at this park but am told its decent.
Instead we have been staying in Williams. Lots of things to do around a fun little route 66 town. Williams is 30 miles west of Flagstaff on I-40. Easy from there to the Grand Canyon.
We usually stay at the Grand Canyon Railway RV park. It is owned by the Grand Canyon hotel next door along with the railroad to the Grand Canyon. Very nice modern RV resort. Nice convenience store, clean showers, kennels for leaving pets while out touring for the day. Guests can use the hotels indoor pool and jacuzzi.
There are 3 KOA's in the Williams area. All of them are decent. However, our preference is for Circle Pines KOA. It's the only KOA thats forested. Play area for kids, dog run. - DtankExplorer

- azdryheatExplorerIf you don't mind driving a few miles to the west, check out the city of Williams. The KOA is very nice and the Grand Canyon Railroad rv park is a block away from all the fun on Route 66 and you can take the train to Grand Canyon.
