Forest River Catalyst, anyone have any experience?

Like the title says, anyone own one or seriously looked at one?

I was looking at others, but hey have next to nothing for cargo weight. If I went on a trip and didn't want to drive another truck to tow a car, or drive the car, I would want something like the Cat., my hot rod weighs 4k and is 16' long., but kills my Ram on mileage. Plus, it's fun to drive. I don't need a bunch of bunks as its just me and the DW. But, it needs to be large enough to keep us off of each others necks:) however, I don't see a lot of insulation in the W-P's.

I like the concept. In my opinion, the cookie cutter toy haulers (Cyclones, Raptors, etc) just struggle to standing up to daily toy hauler duties. That's why we bought a Work & Play. The Catalyst seems like a step up from the Work & Plays.

I asked my dealer why they didn't carry them since they already carried lots of Work & Plays. He said the market was too limited. The Catalysts have such heavy pin weights, it limits itself to even less buyers.

I still like them though. 🙂

We looked at one pretty close...wasn't real impressed with a few things on it for the price.
I didn't like the fact the main slide didn't drop to floor level, ladder for loft wouldn't pull out because it hit the end of the couch, door to garage had way to much space around it letting fumes from garage into living area and I don't think they are insulated like most other toy haulers. Finish on slide flashing wasn't very nice, still had welds on corners unfinished. It's been a while since we looked at it, salesman said he would contact Forest River about the items we brought up...said he would get answers and call me back...never heard from him again even after I called him twice and left him voice mails.
Just didn't think the quality was there for my purpose of where I'd be living in it for a few weeks at a time. Maybe okay for someone just to take toys out for the weekend.
