Forest River pecking order

In the fifth wheel class only......

What is the higher model... The Cardinal ... Or the Ceder Creek??

Or is that a loaded question?? Or is that a question that is based on preference??

OK GMC and Chevy are like Blue Ridge and Cardinal and built on the same assembly line, and Cedar Creek and Silver Creek built on different same assembly line. Buying power and ownership are the only direct relationship between Cardinal and Cedar Creek. I know that both Cardinal and Cedar Creek have great customer service. Chris

I have a friend who happens to be an RV salesman and he told me our truck will tow anything.....
After seeing the "friend told me" comment I could pass this up.

Forest River is the company with specific brands of RVs such as Cardinal, Cedar Creek, Salem, Sierra/Sandpiper, Wildcat, Georgetown, Sunseeker and many more. They also own the companies of Coachmen and their related brands, along with Palomino, Prime Time, Shasta, and Dynamax and their related brands. Berkshire Hathaway is the holding company that owns Forest River and their divisions.

So your saying that Forest River isn't the main company and CC and such aren't just "divisions" of FR like say GMC and Chevy, Pontiac and so on?

Because Forest River makes its many different lines in different facilities that are operated autonomously, saying he is having problems with FR warranty issues is not helpful. From personal experience Cedar Creek's response to warranty matters (very few) has been very prompt. I can't say the same for Cardinal, Sierra, Sandpiper, Rpod, etc. They are all Forest River companies but have their own policies and practices. So saying FR warranty experience is bad says nothing.

Cardinal is very responsive and if there are issues, the leaders of the Cardinal club get involved, as they have a very good working relationship with Cardinal.

Like you pointed out Forest River is just a holding company that creates buying power with vendors, but each individual "name" runs their operation.
