Hey everyone, I have a 2009 raptor mp30 5th wheel. Bought the trailer about 2 years ago and have never had the pump working.
the pump initially kept blowing fuses so I researched and ended up replacing the gears and upon removal noticed the the brushes inside the motor kind of grenaded inside so I got a new motor.
I put everything together and went to power up and nothing but a popped fuse, so I replace the fuse and try again . This time the motor turned for a few seconds and then shut off. Again blew a fuse, and replaced it. Well now it's not blowing fuses but the motor is not doing anything.
I replaced the on off switch and the 5 minute dial timer and still nothing. I verified the 12 volts at the wire coming off the battery.
I will try hard wire to a spare battery but can you guys help me with the wiring,
The pump motor has a red and one black wire coming from it. The wires running to the battery are black and one white. The black wire from the battery is giving me 12v but when I touch it to the red wire on the pump while the white from the battery and black from the pump are wired together I get nothing.
Ok figured out the problem and I'm a little frustrated by it..
Was getting power to everything so I decided to pull the pump assembly apart AGAIN. Well when I took the bottom off , (the part that houses the brushes) bunch of stuff came out. What happened is the brushes became dislodged somehow and grenaded inside and broke the plastic housing that hold them.
What irritates me about this , is that's exactly why my original pump quite working. Same exact thing happened. Why is my pump doing this twice.
Will try powering the motor with out the gears. I have the GPI overhaul kit installed. Did the overhaul when I replaced the motor.
i want to make sure the wiring is correct. The ground from the pump and the ground from the battery are wired together and then wired to load1 on the dial timer. Then the hot wire from the battery is wired to the on/off switch(located next to the dial timer). Then coming from "line1" is a short wire going to the on/off switch.
Any one have any experience with this wiring? I'm not very good with knowing which wire should go where.
