Help Folks,
Buying a new rig and found these Columbus models. Does anyone know if they will hold up well when we go fulltime? Compared to Montana or maybe Landmark? Need your help before we narrow this decision down in a week or so....

This is probably one of the more interesting branding/marketing decisions seen in a while.
Redwood decided to "rename" the Lippert components they use on their rigs, "FIT" or "Falcon Integrated Technology" and then use it as a selling point. All of the chassis components are "FIT". This means they are all made by Lippert.
I suspect that someone made the decision that to advertise that Redwoods frame, axels, pinbox, stairs, slides etc are all made by Lippert would not be considered a big selling point, thus "FIT".

And I'm not bashing Lippert, as I'm not one that thinks everything Lippert is bad. But I do think that as a marketing strategy, using "Falcon Integrated Technology" for all chassis components vs "all chassis components made by Lippert" is pretty ingenious.
I had a spring strap come undone and it gouged into the spring hanger shackle a little. I got new parts by warranty and it all came from Lippert.

I don't think I would want to live full time in any RV, but the Redwood may be worth a look. We stay in it weeks at a time and I don't even feel like I left home. The Dishwasher was the big sell for the wife, and now that I've used it, I love it. One of the things I noticed is everything is quiet, the Dishwasher, ACs, furnace, even the water pump.

Wouldn't be my choice.. I couldn't find, is the warranty void if used for full-time? (not unusual)

Personally I would look at Excel by Peterson Industries, NuWa (currently shut-down for production, but still selling and repairing ), New Horizons and Arctic Fox by Northwood.

One thing all of these have in common, Lippert does NOT make the frame.

Newest trailer life had a 36 ft Redwood and the frame is from Falcon as well as everything but the trailair pin box. Just information.

When someone tells you to buy the same rig they own, listen, they might be right. When they tell you to buy a different rig then they own, really pay attention, they probably know something you don't.
