Don't see what you own in your sig or your profile, but looked at some of your post..Appears it's a GD....don't know any information on it, but if it came with G rated tires or has 6,000 or 7,000# weight rated axles, then you should be fine...I have GY G614's on my 5er, which has a GVW of 16,950# and the tires work great...no problems....

Agree 100%. Have them on ours and never even think about tires. Well, except when I go on the forums...

ON EDIT: Looked up specs and see a GVW of 16,000# and axles rated at 7,000#...you should be fine with the GY G614's...What is recommended air pressure? I air mine to 110 psi per HR manufacturer as well as GY...Works great:)

I lost a tire last fall and after a lot of research I put on four Goodyear 614 RST (235/85 R16)tires and I'm very happy with them so far, as far as Michelin is concerned I was a loyal customer for much of my adult life but last year after one and a half years and 18.000KLM's all six of my LT235-80R17 started to rot and after a solid week of fighting with them they finally settled on giving me only 70% off on replacements I'll never deal with that company again!

That is wrong! You are confused with the Goodyear G614 that is shorter!

XPS RIB 32 inches
LTX M&S2 31.7 incles
Transforce HT 31.73
Commercial TA All Season 2 31.7 inches
R250 31.7 inches
GY G614 30.7

Chris

The original Commercial TA seems to be gone in this size, this All Season 2 is 40.7 pounds where the old TA was 44.1 lbs.
Sorry, my mistake. I was indeed thinking of the G614.

That make your day?

Get the Bridgestone R250's in a 245-75R- E and move on. These tires weigh over 50 lbs. and are built like a tractor trailer tire.

We have a 14400 GVWR and 6K axles. Now we aren't near that heavy but with the Duravis R250's I don't worry about the tires. The Bridgestoneโ€™s were $75 a tire less than the Michelins. Yes they are expensive, but still less than half what the damage cost you.

Yes, the Michelin XPS RIBS are really THAT good...as also earlier stated by "me again" in his post the Bridgestone Duravis R250 cost less and is "just as good as" the Michelins...might want to check out the pricing on the R250's...again, you won't go wrong with either....

Try Costco for Bridgestone R250's. $70 off for 4 right now. They will mount on your rims but they have no place for the 5th wheel to mount them on the 5th wheel so you will need to do that for yourself. Discount Tire won't mount LT ties on a 5th wheel with less rating than the ST tires already installed from the factory. Our ST tires were rated at 3500lb and many LT tires are rated at 3,000 lbs. We put the 3,000 lb LT Bridgestone R250 Duravais rated tires on 6,000 lb axle so no harm, no foul. I think Discount Tires policy is myopic in an attempt to sell Carlisle tires. I will never have ST tires on our 5th wheel again.
