Heartland 5th wheel bumper

Our 2008 Sundance 2998RB is still fine I am looking at adding a hitch to pull the pontoon. I talked to a guy this summer with a 2010 sundance that had a hitch on his look simple enough to do just weld in some extra bracing.
Are you having problems with rust? I have seen a few bumpers out there that people put their clean out hose back in very wet and it rusts out from the inside?

We probably need some more information on this. Did you mount anything to it or modify it in anyway?

While it's only 6 months old, the bumper on my Heartland Sundance has not had any issues. It seems to carry the spare tire and sewer hose just fine and it very solid.

I have that same bumper on my Heartland Sundance and I have experienced no problem in attaching a bike rack and carry a bicycle.

It's not a bumper as we know it. It's a light gauge tube that can haul a sewer hose inside. That's all. They aren't made to hang bicycle racks, trailer hitches or anything else on them. If you are using it for anything like that you need to replace it with something heavier and more reinforced..
